Church of Jesus Christ's Teachings
Jesus' disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"
Jesus said, "It will not come when it is expected. They will not say, "look here,' or, 'Look there.' Rather the kingdom of the Father is spread out on the earth and people do not see it."--Jesus of Nazareth (Perhaps our class-consciousness, our greed, our wanting something at no cost -- free salvation: peace of mind and soul without working for them -- and our cruelty to one another blinds us).
"Had there been a lunatic asylum in the suburbs of Jerusalem, Jesus of Nazareth would infallibly have been shut up in it at the outset of his public career. That interview with Satan on a pinnacle of the temple would alone have damned him, and everything that happened after could but confirmed the diagnosis."--Havelock Ellis
Many of us stand somewhere between the above paragraphs: we yearn to believe in the world of God on earth, but most all evidence from our sick society screams Havelock Ellis's words at us. So we vacillate between weak hope and desperate despair, and swallow all kinds of drugs (dope) by the car load and laugh our hysterical, insane laughter, if we laugh at all -- most of the time we just growl and groan and cry because of our emptyness of our soul.
As a direct result of our weak hope and our desperate despair we develop a strong dose of guilt and then depression. "Guilt, then, is a major factor in depression -- both as a cause and as a consequence..."--Dr. Frederic F. Flach
As a result of our depression we seek out a doctor to help us. But as most doctors are concerned with their statis as pillars of society -- and their income -- they treat their patient as if he/she is a machine and prescribe STP Oil Treatment -- STP quiets down a machine when it begins to make noises -- Prozac, or one of the many tranqualizers at their dsposal.
The "money-doctor", a doctor who practices medicine only for money could care less about the cause of his patients situational depression: the M.D.: "money-doctor" has only one thought: "To make human beings into anonymous units to fit like robots into the vast industrial and political collectivisms of our day..." Why do modern doctors feel this way? Well, if you make noises agins our sick society and do not go to work every day and cannot pay the "M.D." his outrageous fee he may miss a day at the spa or miss a day having his Porsche polished.
Why do we as citizens tolerate such an outrage within our society -- because we are sheep. "That so few now dare to be eccentric, marks the chief danger of our time."--John Stuart Mill. And: "Few peoole are capable of expressing with equanimity opinins which differ fom the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are even incapable of forming such opinions."--Albert Einstein. What Mama and Papa did, I will do, because of fear I am only a copycat, offering nothing new.
So, are we citizens just too stupid to know that something is missing from our great wormy, industrial society, such as happiness, peace of mind, love, kindness? No: our situational depression is a signal from God that these things are missing from our lives. But the "M.D." not wanting our situational depression to come to fruition -- wake us up -- gives us a pill to keep us in a state of walking-sleep, so that we will do as we are directed by society:

If those who lead you say, 'Look, the kingdom is in heaven then the birds of heaven will precede you. If they say, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is within you and outside you. When you know yourselves ( throw away your tranquilizers, your dope) you will be known, and you will know you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, you live in poverty and you yourselves are the poverty."--Jesus of Nazareth
So, do we want to live in God's world (filled with love and kindness) in the present? If we want it, we must claim it: in silence: and act in it: for the truth does not lie.
"Truth exists," wrote Kierkegaard, "only as the individual himself produces it in action. Truth becomes reality only as the individual produces it in action, which includes producing it in his own consciousness."
Jesus disciples said to him, "On what day will the repose of the dead occur and when does the new world come?"
Jesus said to them, "That repose you look for has come,(PENTECOST) but you have not recognized it."--Jesus of Nazareth
Does it ever occur to us that God is real (regardless of what the children of darkness say) and in charge and that we can have everything we need for the asking, in silence, and that the earth is good and beautiful and we refuse to see it because we are filled with dope, dogma, and despair?
Hug your situational depression to your heart and listen to it, for it is God talking to you: trying to give you happiness, peace of mind, and His love by changing your life. This does not apply to people with brain injury or with a certain brain chemicals missing for they need medication to live a productive life.
