United Drama Group Presents...

United Drama Group successfully presented "A Children's Peter Pan" in August 2002 and "Peter Pan - The Story" in September 2003. Play goers found out how Peter really lost his shadow. Under the direction of Jim (Muse) Furtado, this original presentation featured a cast of children ages 5 through 18 as well as adults of all ages who didn't want to grow up.

This delightful play was produced and directed by Jim (Muse) Furtado. Mr. (Muse) Furtado is the owner and Grandmaster of the United School of Martial Arts Academy of Kung Fu in the City of Whittier, CA. With the successful presentation of eight annual "A Children's Nutcracker" plays, Mr. (Muse) Furtado again took the reigns to present his very different and entertaining version of "Peter Pan - The Story". He delightfully used classical as well as modern music to create a playful atmosphere around the clever Peter Pan and the infamous Captain Hook.

United Drama Group in conjunction with the United School of Martial Arts Academy of Kung Fu proudly presented their Eighth Annual "A Children's Nutcracker" on December 2002 at the Curtis Theatre in Brea. This seasonal play is presented annually and stars Martial Arts children as young as 4 years old. Most of the performers have little or no formal dance training but are able to master their roles successfully. The Group featured a few parents and grandparents of the children. If you missed the 2002 performance, you missed our best presentation ever of "A Children's Nutcracker". The 2002 performance featured fresh new dance choreography and thanks to donations from parents, business owners and friends, we were able to purchase and make some new costumes and repair props.
