SeekOn Sample Web Site

This is an example of a simple SeekOn user web site containing only text. It has three parts: The TITLE will be in large type at the top of your page and will also be the title of your site for search services such as SeekOn, Google, MSN Search, etc. The title also appears in the browser bookmark list if someone bookmarks your site. The PAGE DESCRIPTION doesn't appear on your page (it's hidden) but does provide SeekOn and other search engines with a site description in more detail than the title. The PAGE TEXT AREA contains the rest of your text. A banner ad provided by SeekOn may appear above your title. Your title should be 3 - 6 words and should contain "key words" that people looking for a site like yours would submit when using a search engine.

You can type your text into the Page Text Area window in the site editor. As another option, you can write your text offline using a text editor such as Windows wordpad and then do an "edit/copy" of the text from your document and an "edit/paste" into the site editor window.

You should enter the text in the site editor box without pressing "enter" except when you want to end a paragraph or line. The text will "wrap" automatically.

For single lines like these press "enter" once.
Another single line.
A third single line.

For paragraphs press "enter" twice.

This way the text will "flow" properly to fit the user's browser window.

If you enter "unlisted" as your site's category when you sign up, SeekOn will not publish your site's address on our public web site list and so someone would have to know the address to access the site. This might be suitable for a site containing material that was only of interest for your friends or family. (Warning: do not put any sensitive information on any web site.)

If you enter another category besides "unlisted" we will post your website on our web site list which is accessable to all SeekOn visitors and visiting search engines.
