Some tips and resources for marketing your consulting business using the internet
There are a number of resources, papers, articles, and discussions regarding how to market a business using the web.
The common platforms for marketing include email, websites, and blogs.
The tools used within these platforms involve using meta-tags, RSS, and viral marketing windows.
So what are these?
Meta-tags: embedded identifiers of the site. These identifiers allow for a “hit” on your site if, for instance, one or more of those identifiers are typed in a search engine.
viral marketing: Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. Like viruses, such strategies take advantage of rapid multiplication to explode the message to thousands, to millions. 1
RSS: Used with XML to provide a news-type headlines and other tags to the web site content. You are syndicating your web site.

Inital research of library resources were found though the EbscoHOST library portal that university and college libraries have access. This partical access is through Trinidad State Junior College. The TSJC library internet resources is open to all.
Follow the steps here to access the EbscoHost: Option 1:
Click here for library And then locate "internet resources" and click.
Scroll down to the to the EbscoHOST link and follow the directions.
Or option 2: EbscoHOST and cut/paste s8092625 into the ID block and "password" (lowercase) in the "password" window.
Now, from here click on "EBSCOHost Web" and check the first 3 databases. Once you are in you have the option of doing your own research or up in the upper left hand corner is the "Sign into my EBSCOhost" link. Here is where you will find the initial research on the subjects of this presentation. Click and enter "purpleparrot" in the username window and "pepsican" in the password window. On the right side is a folder with items. You can view the articles. I just ask that you do not delete any documents. If you decide you want to save these, please, uncheck the delete all block.
Once in, you can review the folder that lists an initial search of the topics of Meta-tags, blogs,viral marketing, and RSS.
